That One Trip – Andaman

Our Last School Escape

Our last school trip was to Andaman, and to this day, I still catch myself smiling when I think about it. It wasn’t just a trip, it was the perfect ending to our school life that was filled with laughter, chaos, bonding, and memories we will probably be telling our future kids about.

The excitement started weeks before the actual trip. The chaos at the airport and clicking selfies before boarding, having the best time of our life. It all felt like a dream.

When we landed in Andaman, it was like stepping into a postcard. The clear blue water, the untouched beaches and mainly the calm vibe. It was everything we needed after months of academic stress and exam pressure.

We visited places like Radhanagar Beach, which honestly looked like something out of a movie. The water was very clear, and the sand was so soft like cotton candies, I remember all of us just sitting in silence for a few minutes, soaking it all in. Then, of course, the silence broke with beach games, photo shoots, and group shenanigans of course.

Cellular Jail was another spot that left an impact. Walking through history, imagining the pain and strength of our freedom fighters, the light and sound show there kind of gave us all goosebumps. That part of the trip reminded us that even in the middle of fun, it’s important to pause and learn.

But my favorite memory? The ferry ride to Havelock from Portblair. The water was so crystal clear that we could literally see fishes swimming beneath us. Then, some of us even tried scuba diving, it turned out to be the best experience. Staring into the underwater world, it made me feel like time had stopped.

Our nights were just fun. From midnight chats in hotel rooms to trying new dishes, singing on the bus rides, and dancing like no one was watching us. Those were the moments that tied us all together.

Leaving Andaman was emotional. We had all gotten actually closer, laughed a little harder, and created memories that would stick forever. It wasn’t just a school trip also it was a celebration of the end of a beautiful chapter.

If I could relive just one moment from school, it would be that Andaman trip for sure. And that too with the same people, same chaos, and the same carefree hearts.
